Why Duff Pools For Weekly Pool Service?
Hi Neighbor,
Not all swimming pool servicing companies are created equal. Between no shows, “3-minute stops”, calling you the day before your service day to let you know they no longer service your area … you get the idea.
We hear it all the time. The reality is that getting good, honest and reliable pool service can be a challenge.
This is precisely why we our technicians are thoroughly trained, are on top of current best practices and technology and our employees are not sub-contractors.
Our invoicing is straight forward so you don’t have to worry about surprises, our weekly service list is itemized and 100% transparent.
At the core of Duff Pools, we operate by 3 pillars:
1. Integrity
2. Reliability
3. Transparency
We truly treat your pool as if it were our own (other than hopping in and enjoying it). We take pride in what we do and we understand it’s not ‘just a pool’. It’s a place where memories are created … a place for birthday parties, a place to gather with friends and family …
We get it.
We get it so well in fact that more than 80% of our new customers actually come from existing customers. We would love to earn your business and it’s our hope that you’ll boast about us too!

Our pricing for weekly pool service is straight forward, 100% transparent and you’ll never have surprises on your monthly bill.
** Core chemicals include; liquid chlorine, chlorine tablets and treatments to adjust pH and alkalinity levels. Core chemicals do not include; cyanuric acid (stabilizer, to protect the chlorine from the sun so it lasts longer), clarifier or other “novelty” chemicals that may be necessary after storms, heavy pool load (large pool party/gathering), etc (ie; phosphate remover).
These chemicals are largely determined by storms/monsoons, rain, pool load/usage and the volume of debris (ie; leaves, dirt, etc) that can bring pathogens and pollutants into the pool water.
Additionally, water hardness and total dissolved solids play a meaningful role in balancing the water chemistry and maintaining sparkling, beautiful water.
If your pool is larger than 16,000 gallons (or a commercial pool of any size), please text or submit photos for exact pricing and the address of the property.
Q & A:
Do you offer chemical only service?
Yes, see above.
Do you service above ground pools?
As a general rule, we do not service above ground pools. There are few exceptions. Please text us or submit photos of the pool and the equipment.
Do you charge extra for the months that have 5 weeks?
For those months, we do not charge extra. However, we typically take 2 weeks off per year (during winter months). So, essentially, you receive 3 additional stops per year (5 months with 5 weeks, minus the 2 weeks that we take off around the winter holidays).
Do you offer bi-weekly service:
We only offer services on a weekly basis.
Are there weeks or times of year that pools don’t get serviced?
Yes, generally, there are two weeks a year (during winter months) that we do not service pools (notifications are emailed 3 weeks in advance). This allows our staff down time to spend with their friends and families and re-charge.
I have a salt water water system. Is there an extra charge when my pool needs salt or the cell needs cleaning?
When the pool needs salt, we add it and charge market rate. This is generally 75-150 lbs per year and is added to your regular monthly invoice. We charge $25 for salt cell cleans (this is typically needed 2-4 times per year).
Is there a charge to clean my DE or cartridge filter?
Yes, there is a fee for filter cleaning. Depending on a variety of factors, DE and Cartridge filters need to be cleaned 2-3 times per year to ensure they’re operating efficiently and filtering as they should. We charge $85 when they need to be cleaned. During this process, we inspect the filter (grids/cartridges) to ensure there are no issues that may impact their functionality and the filter o-ring, manifold, etc.
How do you define “storm clean” or what justifies an additional fee?
As a general rule of thumb, any weekly clean that takes in excess of 45 minutes we will bill a “storm fee”. We charge $37.50 per half hour after the initial 45 minutes.
Can I switch from chemical only service to full service?
Absolutely. Free to switch service at any time, based upon your needs or wishes. We do require that our “Chemical, Backwashing And Baskets” customers are cleaning their pool, removing debris, etc as lack of pool hygiene can make a substantial difference to water chemistry, introduce bacteria and pathogens to the water and create an environment for algae to fester.
